The foundation stone for the extension
of our production site is laid

A new production facility
This project involves an extension covering 1,000 m² which will improve the company’s development in certain key areas:
- better control of workflow and even greater compliance with safety and quality regulations.
- Installation of a new production line that will allow the company to work further on the research and development of new products. The recently developed mini-nonnettes should help to increase the volume of production. - The creation of a museum space and a shop in the historic part of the building covering approximately 400 m².
This space will enable visitors and consumers to find out about the history of pain d’épices, the Mulot et Petitjean company and of course the production of pain d’épices itself.
In 2012, the company gained the ‘Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant’ (Living Heritage) accreditation and this museum will further underline Mulot & Petitjean’s place in the historical food heritage of both the region and France as a whole.
An investment to create jobs
Real estate investment will amount to € 3 million. The tangible investment will reach a total of € 3 million once work is completed and around 25 jobs will be created over time. Building work is due to be completed at the start of 2017.
